April child
I saw the future when you smiled
A shining promise fresh and new
Is hiding in the depth of you

April skies
Have softly settled in your eyes
A subtle hint of things to come
A glimpse of the millenium

You're the glow of hope
That tomorrow brings
You're a heart that loves
And a soul that sings

Sweet April child
A sketch of nature running wild
You'll take tomorrow in your hands
And leaves your footprints in the sands

You'll unchain
The rainbows that replace the rain
You'll make this world of worth less joy
Exciting as a Christmas toy
All my doubts and fears
Will be reconciled
If I spend my life
With this April child
